Bio
Unanimously elected by the Board of Directors on August 1, 2020, to replace retiring CEO Arthur Thompson, Mr. Hahn has been an employee of The John Birch Society since May 2007. Originally hired as Public Relations Manager, he was responsible for many areas of communication before being promoted to various positions throughout the years, including Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1995.
Early in his career, Mr. Hahn gained valuable experience and leadership skills in the construction industry, having the good fortune of working for and alongside various industry visionaries and with many trade industry associations. Working in the publishing industry as a publicist helped hone his outreach skills, especially through growing and strengthening author, media, and consumer relations.
He credits the foundation of his constitutional views from growing up on one of Wisconsin’s largest cranberry marshes where work ethic, responsibility, independence, and land stewardship values were thoroughly learned through repeated practice.
He and his wife live in rural Wisconsin with their four children and enjoy serving as Sunday School teachers in their church.
He looks forward to working with you in the pursuit of less government, more responsibility, and–with God’s help–a better world.
