In this week's Analysis Behind the News video, JBS CEO Art Thompson discusses how a recent Wall Street Journal article about Afghans reaching out to Russia refers to Russia as an old ally and patron, when actually Russia was an invader; how the recent crash of the Russian airplane will be used to expand the scope of Russia’s influence in Syria, Egypt, Libya, etc.; how all the Republican candidates for president appear to favor arming the Kurds, but this would be the quickest way to tick off Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria, because the Kurds claim portions of all of these countries; how there’s a large amount of communist influence in the Kurdish movement; how Speaker Ryan is getting credit for keeping his pledge on amnesty, but at the same time he supports the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, which would lead to an increased flow of labor into the United States; and how Secretary of State Kerry says U.S. would welcome Russia and China joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
